Music Lover,
Playing with my friend,
violinist/harpist Carlos Reyes, is
always a wild ride and a BIG production. So,
I am really looking forward to firing up the
stage with him at Yoshi's this Friday. World
renowned for his mastery of the Paraguayan
Harp and Violin, Carlos has touched the
hearts and spirits of people around the
globe. And his guest artists are always
top-notch.
This Yoshi's concert will
feature two-time Grammy winner,
singer/songwriter/keyboard player/guitarist
Bill Champlin,
who has been a rock star since the early
'60s. He founded the San Francisco-based
group Sons of Champlin then became a member
of Chicago in 1981 while continuing to write
tons of hit songs. The vocal line-up also
includes Tony Lindsay,
lead singer for the past 25 years of the
multi-Grammy winning band Santana, as well as
vocalists Jerry Lopez, Tamara Champlin and
Janice Maxie Reid. Don't miss this - tomorrow

My neighborhood "Sunset
Sax & Guitar" series features yours truly
on saxophones and a different talented jazz
guitarist each time. Dan Nieckarz of
Gilroy will be my guest next Thursday, March
29. A veteran Bay Area guitarist, Dan draws
from more than thirty years of study,
performance and dedication to the art of
jazz. His style is warm, quiet-yet-intense, a
classic jazz guitar sound with sophisticated
chord melodies and an occasional bluesy edge.
No cover for the live music from 6-8 p.m at
Moss Beach Distillery. Come early to enjoy
food and drink specials in the bar from 5-7
p.m.

The debut of my new "Sax
at the Movies" series was a blast! The
friends and neighbors in the audience were a
lively bunch while guessing the names of each
movie theme that we played. Keyboardist
Thomas Suczek
and I will be back on Friday, April 13 to
perform lots of different theme songs from
classic films blockbuster hits including
audience requests from our last show. The fun
continues...
The Wine Room Moss Beach
