gratitude is magic

Hello sweet friend!

Do you remember as a child that you had a different sense of time passing? An hour seemed long; so much could happen in a whole day; a year felt like forever! This is because children are mostly living in the present moment, in the now and the now and the now. This changes their perception of the passing of time.

How do we access that kind of timeless wonder and joy in life? The moment one is present to gratitude, instantaneous transformation occurs! Being grateful brings our attention into the present moment; not only into the present moment, but into the highest vibration of that moment.

For instance, while feeling depressed, one’s attention is focused on something that occurred in the past. In that moment, thinking about anything that one can be thankful for right now brings our attention instantly to the highest possibility of the now. This immediately uplifts our spirit.

Likewise, one who feels anxious is focused on a concern for the future. Thinking of something to be grateful for in that moment then transforms that anxiety into a feeling of appreciation, releasing the anxiety and elevating the emotional state. Miraculous!

Most negative emotions are in fact triggered by a memory of something that occurred in the past causing an outsized reaction to whatever is happening right now. So, having the awareness and discipline to take a deep breath and call up a reason to be grateful breaks the trance of the trigger. Then, whatever is happening right now is just what is happening now, nothing more.

The spiritual practice of Gratitude is magical and transformative because it raises our vibration, allowing us to be relaxed and present. We become more easily tuned in to higher consciousness, creativity, and love in our life.

What better time to super-charge our gratitude practice with group energy than during Thanksgiving Weekend! You are invited to join our sacred circle on the new moon for our Gratitude Ceremony ~ Native Flute Meditation and Shamanic Journey on ZOOM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 4:30-6:00 p.m.

Suggested donation of $25-$45 accepted in the spirit of sacred reciprocity.

A portion of your gift benefits the Muchia Té Indigenous Land Trust to support the cultural revitalization of the coastal Rammaytush people.

Gather in virtual sacred circle at dusk, when the veils between worlds are thinnest, to embrace the new moon with thankfulness, revitalization and new intentions.

Let go of everyday concerns and rest in peaceful meditation to the soothing sounds of Native American Flute music played live.

Journey with the drum to the unseen realms to connect with compassionate guardian spirits for guidance and healing through direct revelation.

During this Thanksgiving holiday, you may feel more or less authentically grateful. Or perhaps you are struggling to find anything to be thankful for at all. Wherever your heart is at, you are accepted and cared for in our sacred circle as we support one another with loving kindness.

Hugs and blessings,

Sonya
